Complaints

Making a complaint

If something has gone wrong, we want to know. Complaints help us improve, and raising one will never affect a young person’s support.

Is it a safeguarding concern?

Safeguarding concerns are handled separately.

If you’re worried about a young person’s safety, or about the behaviour of an adult working with us, see our safeguarding page or email safeguarding@theambitionsfoundation.org.uk. In an emergency, call 999.

Who can complain

Anyone can make a complaint, including young people, parents and carers, schools, volunteers, partners and supporters. If you’re a young person and would like help, a trusted adult can contact us for you.

Step 1: Talk to us

Many concerns can be sorted quickly. Speak to the person you’ve been dealing with, or email us and we’ll try to put things right.

Step 2: Make a formal complaint

Email contact@theambitionsfoundation.org.uk with “Complaint” in the subject line. Tell us what happened, when, who was involved and what you’d like us to do. We’ll acknowledge your complaint and look into it fairly, then reply with what we found and any action we’re taking.

Step 3: Ask for a review

If you’re not happy with our response, ask for your complaint to be reviewed by our Chair of Trustees. Their decision is final within the Foundation.

Outside the Foundation

If you still have concerns, you can contact the Charity Commission. For complaints about fundraising, contact the Fundraising Regulator.
