What’s on offer

Three kinds of support, one goal: keeping learning within reach.

Some young people need help with a subject. Others need the things that make learning possible. Many need both.

Weekly tutoring

Free, funded weekly tutoring, online or in person, in subjects linked to a young person’s education, goals or aspirations.

Learning essentials

Means-tested support for books, equipment, trips and other essentials, bought directly by the Foundation.

Uniform support

School-uniform support twice a year for families who might otherwise struggle with the cost.

Step by step

From first conversation to weekly support.

  1. Step 1

    Get in touch

A young person, parent, carer, school or professional makes a referral.

  2. Step 2

    We talk it through

We find out what the young person needs, which subjects matter and what they’re aiming for.

  3. Step 3

    Support is arranged

We match them with a tutor, and arrange any essentials or uniform they’re eligible for.

  4. Step 4

    Learning moves forward

Weekly tutoring begins, online or in person, and we check in on progress along the way.

Who it’s for

For any child or young person aged 4–18.

Tutoring is open to all ages we support. Help with learning essentials and uniform is means-tested, so it reaches the families who need it most.

  • Tutoring: open to children and young people aged 4–18
  • Essentials and uniform: prioritised for families on a low income, including those receiving Universal Credit or eligible for free school meals
  • Schools and professionals can refer where there is clear financial hardship
  • Support is given as items or services, never cash, and must relate to education or development
